The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to address family requirements. This program reviews and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve assessments of family members and the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
