The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides essential services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services cater to both the developmental requirements of the child and the needs of the family to facilitate the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and overall engagement in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends its services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination at the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and the development of community resources. The administration of the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program falls under the Division of Family and Community Services, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
