The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), previously referred to as Food Stamps, assists low-income households in acquiring the food essential for maintaining good health. Eligible families receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, functioning similarly to a debit card, which is used at grocery stores. Funds from a designated SNAP account are utilized to cover food purchases, and benefits are restricted to eligible food items. Language support is available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
