The program features several health initiatives such as Living Well In Idaho, led by Joanna Adams, which focuses on chronic disease self-management. I-PAN, coordinated by Lisa Kolenda, RN, also addresses adolescent pregnancy prevention for high school students. The Diabetes Control Program aims to mitigate diabetes complications through educational outreach and resources like the "Control Your Diabetes" helpline at 1-877-214-5433, provided by Medicare. The Injury Prevention Program offers exercise guidance to seniors over 65 to enhance their physical capabilities. Additionally, the Oral Health Program, supported by the Maternal and Child Health Title V Block Grant, promotes dental health through school-based fluoride programs in collaboration with local health departments. The Tobacco Prevention, Control and Cessation Program works on reducing smoking and secondhand smoke exposure through education and advocacy, facilitating free cessation classes for various demographics, funded by the Idaho Tobacco Millennium Funds.
