Center On Disabilities And Human Development

The CDHD runs several independent grant programs and provides training, services, technical assistance, research, and dissemination efforts throughout the state and nationwide. To achieve its objectives, the CDHD participates in exceptional activities across five main areas: *Interdisciplinary training and preparation for students and fellows to take on leadership and direct service roles. *Direct services and demonstration projects that offer support to families and individuals, personal assistance services, and infant monitoring. *Community training and technical assistance, integrated into all CDHD initiatives, focusing on engagement with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. *Research and validation of innovative ideas and promising practices, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of developmental disabilities. *Dissemination of information and research outcomes to individuals with developmental disabilities, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. Language support is available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Gujarati upon request.
