Center On Disabilities And Human Development

The CDHD runs multiple independent grant programs while providing training, services, technical assistance, research, and dissemination efforts throughout the state and nationwide. To achieve its objectives, the CDHD participates in outstanding activities across five key areas: *Interdisciplinary training and preparation for students and fellows aimed at leadership and direct service roles. *Direct services and demonstration initiatives that encompass support for families and individuals, personal assistance services, and infant monitoring. *Community training and technical assistance integrated into all CDHD projects, focusing on engagement with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. *Research and validation of innovative ideas and effective practices, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the developmental disabilities sector. *Dissemination of information and research results to individuals with developmental disabilities, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. Available languages include English, with Spanish, Russian, and Gujarati upon request.
