Center On Disabilities And Human Development

The CDHD runs several independent grant programs and provides training, services, technical assistance, research, and dissemination efforts both statewide and nationally. To achieve its objectives, the CDHD focuses on five key areas: *Interdisciplinary training and preparation for students and fellows for roles in leadership and direct service. *Direct services and demonstration projects that offer support to families and individuals, personal assistance services, and infant monitoring. *Community training and technical assistance integrated into all CDHD initiatives, targeting individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. *Research that validates new concepts and effective practices while contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the developmental disabilities sector. *Dissemination of information and research outcomes to individuals with developmental disabilities, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. Available languages include English, with Spanish, Russian, and Gujarati upon request.
