The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates and processes reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to address family needs. This program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the child who has been abused. It also facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services administers this program, which is available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
