The Regional Children and Family Services Program reviews and assesses allegations of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, suitable services are offered to address family needs. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the child who has been harmed. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program oversees the licensing of child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. It is operated by the Division of Family and Community Services and supports English, with interpreters available.
