The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides essential services tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass referrals, information, guardianship and commitment assistance, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children develop skills in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and participation in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services for adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The administration of the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program falls under the Division of Family and Community Services, with services available in English and interpreters accessible as needed.
