The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. The program also shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention, assisting families in helping their infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) achieve their full potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. It operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in daily family activities. Additionally, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services for adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and development of community resources. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English and can provide interpreters when needed. Intake is initiated by calling for an evaluation.
