The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides essential services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services cater to both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children develop skills in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in everyday family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and the development of community resources. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services and offers services in English, with interpreters available upon request. For intake, individuals are encouraged to call for an evaluation.
