The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program cater to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in supporting their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) in reaching their full potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental requirements of the child and the needs of the family to foster the child's growth. The program operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children improve their communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services to individuals with developmental disabilities, which include court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible if needed.
