The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides tailored services aimed at assisting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program specifically offers early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children develop communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
