The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment, and provides necessary services to meet family needs. This program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved, with no fees for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services, and services are available in English with interpreters accessible.
