The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and offers necessary services to address family requirements. This Program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the Program is responsible for licensing child care facilities, foster homes, and offering some adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
