The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. It operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children enhance their abilities to communicate, move, think, eat, and engage more fully in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by offering court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
