The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides tailored services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, and shares information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. The program is supported by multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and active participation in family life. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which is available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
