The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and evaluates these cases to determine the best course of action. When needed, it offers suitable services to meet family needs. This program conducts assessments and evaluations of reported incidents, which may involve reviewing the circumstances of family members and/or the child in question. It also assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
