The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in fostering the development of infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children enhance their abilities in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program serves individuals with developmental disabilities by providing court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and the development of community resources. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
