The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program aim to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, therapy options such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies are available, along with information about private service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in helping their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in facilitating children's development in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, offering services like court-ordered guardianship, competency evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and can access interpreters when needed.
