El-Ada - Homedale

El-Ada Community Action Partnership focuses on effectively utilizing local, state, private, and federal resources to help low-income individuals and families develop valuable skills, access new opportunities, and attain economic self-sufficiency. The Weatherization Assistance Program aids income-eligible households by lowering their heating and cooling expenses while enhancing home safety through energy efficiency improvements. The LIHEAP Crisis Assistance program is available to qualifying households once per season, providing support if their Intermountain Gas or Idaho Power service is at risk of disconnection or has already been disconnected. Eligible households can receive both LIHEAP and LIHEAP Crisis assistance, which is available year-round, depending on funding. Additionally, households can visit the food pantry every 60 days, receiving food boxes that typically last 2-4 days, with garden seeds available in spring (while supplies last). The contents of food boxes may vary based on donations and location. To obtain a food box, clients must qualify and enroll in the CSBG program at any of the four offices, where they will provide demographic information without needing ID or income verification. USDA Commodities, essential pantry items offered through the TEFAP program, are accessible monthly at various distribution sites in the Treasure Valley. For specific dates and times, clients can call (208) 377-0700. Commodities are available at all El-Ada locations, but clients must qualify and enroll in the TEFAP program, providing demographic information and signing an eligibility form, while valid ID and income verification are required for TEFAP assistance. Services are offered in both English and Spanish.
