The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program offers services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianship and commitment services, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program provides various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to assist families in fostering their children's growth. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children enhance their abilities in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends support to adults with developmental disabilities, offering court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, with services available in English and interpreter access provided as needed. Intake is initiated by calling for an evaluation.
