The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and offers necessary services to meet family needs. This program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved, with no fees for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the program, and services are available in English and Spanish through interpreters.
