The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to address family issues. This Program reviews and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are offered at no cost. Additionally, the Program oversees the licensing of child care facilities, foster homes, and provides certain adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services and offers services in English, with Spanish interpreters available.
