Shoshone County Disaster Services

Shoshone County Emergency Management is responsible for preparing for and responding to significant disaster situations, including landslides, forest fires, flooding, and pandemics. Acting as the primary liaison between the Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security and Shoshone County, the department collaborates with all first responders in the region, including law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS units. They facilitate the planning and execution of both tabletop and full-scale exercises across the county, allowing response agencies to practice together in a structured setting. The County Emergency Manager reports to the Shoshone County Commissioners, providing guidance on disaster situations, the necessity of declaring a county disaster, and other assigned projects.
