The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and evaluates them thoroughly. When needed, it provides suitable services to meet family needs. This program assesses and determines the validity of reported child abuse incidents, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and it is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
