The Regional Children and Family Services Program reviews and assesses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to address family requirements. This Program evaluates reported instances of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the Program is responsible for licensing foster homes and offering some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services administers this Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible if needed.
