Living Independence Network Corp (Linc) - Twin Falls

The initiative focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities to reach their preferred level of independence. It emphasizes transitioning individuals from institutional settings and preventing future institutionalization. The program offers a range of support services and advocacy for those seeking to live independently within the community, including peer support, information and referral services, benefits counseling, personal assistance, and training in independent living skills. Assistance is provided in applying for SSI, SSD, and PASS (Plan for Achieving Self-Support). Additionally, services include A.D.A. site evaluations, training to prevent discrimination, and education on Independent Living principles and disability issues. Free discounted fare transportation vouchers are available for the elderly and disabled. Clients can also access a one-month free loan of devices that enhance sound and speech comprehension for various settings, with the possibility of applying for a grant afterward. In-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities is offered under the HCBS waiver program and private pay options. Services are available in English. Intake can be done via telephone, walk-in, or by appointment.
