It also covers programs like Katie Beckett or Home Care for Certain Disabled Children, Nursing Facility Care, ICF/MR Care, Residential and Assisted Living Services, Certified Family Homes, Case Management, and Private Duty Nursing. These services are accessible to Medicaid recipients deemed in need. The RMS is responsible for enrolling service providers, offering consultations, and performing quality assurance and improvement evaluations. Additionally, the Healthy Connections program is integrated within the RMS. **For Personal Care Services (PCS): If a medical condition necessitates 16 hours or fewer of assistance weekly, this service is classified as a standard Medicaid benefit. However, if more than 16 hours are required, the individual may qualify for one of the Home and Community Based Waivers, ensuring that home care costs do not surpass those of nursing home or intermediate care facility expenses. All services must receive prior authorization from the Regional Medicaid Unit.** The Home Care for Certain Disabled Children, known as the "Katie Beckett" program, caters to children under 18 who do not qualify for Medicaid through other programs, requiring an income of less than $1,520 (as of 1999) and assets not exceeding $2,000, excluding parents' financials from consideration. **Adult Developmental Disability (DD) Care Management is responsible for overseeing services for individuals aged 18 and older, as well as those on the ISSH waiver (ages 15-18).
