The Cooperative Extension System at the University of Idaho plays a vital role in aiding the agricultural and rural sectors of Idaho by offering a variety of services, programs, and research that contribute to the state's growth. Among the available offerings are: 4-H/Youth Development, Weed Control Programs, Parenting Programs, EFNEP (Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program), Garden and Landscape Management Programs, Youth at Risk Programs, Family Resource Management, Crops and Horticulture Programs, initiatives focused on starting or running a small business, Money Management and Household Budgeting, Life Skills, Water Quality Testing, Pesticide Applicator Training, and Food Preservation.
