The Nevada State Archives safeguards and offers access to records that illustrate the history of Nevada's government from 1851 onwards. Their collection features more than 19,000 cubic feet of documents from both territorial and state governments, along with over 14,000 images depicting the diverse peoples and locations of Nevada. The Archives plays a crucial role in identifying, preserving, and ensuring fair access to the documentary heritage of Nevada's varied communities, acting as the institutional memory for the state.
