The Utility Tax Rebate Program provided by the city of Las Vegas is aimed at low-income seniors living within the city, now featuring elevated income thresholds for eligibility. Applications can be submitted to the city from August 1 to October 15, 2026, for rebates on franchise taxes and sewer fees incurred in 2025. Intake Procedure: Applicants are required to present copies of their 2025 local NV Energy, Southwest Gas, and CenturyLink/Cox Communications telephone bills, along with photo ID, proof of income, evidence of bill payments, and other necessary documentation to complete their application. The identification and bills must correspond to the same physical address.

- Eligible seniors aged 60 and above can receive a rebate for the franchise tax on local utilities paid during 2025, including NV Energy, Century Link or Cox Communications, and Southwest Gas, provided the bills are in their name and their income is below 150% of the federal poverty level, which is $23,475 for individuals or $31,725 for couples.
