Food Bank Of Northern Nevada
Community Resource
Acerca de este recurso
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) allows the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to supply a monthly box filled with nutritious food to seniors aged 60 and older who are low-income. These boxes are available at over 40 locations throughout Reno, Sparks, and rural northern Nevada. Each month, participants receive a selection of supplemental food items, which may consist of canned meats, vegetables, fruits, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes, evaporated or dry milk, dry beans or peanut butter, and American cheese. Seniors who do not qualify based on income can still attend distributions to obtain a similar box of pantry essentials through the Food Bank’s Senior Box program. Additionally, guests at the Senior Box/CSFP distributions can access fresh fruits and vegetables when collecting their monthly food box. Available in Spanish and English.
Intake Procedure: For more information, call or visit the website. Detailed eligibility criteria and the distribution schedule can be found online.
Fees: There are no fees involved.
