Nevada Youth Empowerment Project

NYEP serves young women aged 18–24 in the Reno area who lack stable housing and aspire to achieve independence. Participants can stay for 12 to 24 months in a structured program that offers a secure living environment, meals, and assistance while developing essential life skills. This includes completing educational goals such as finishing school or obtaining a GED, securing and maintaining employment, managing finances, and establishing daily routines and responsibilities. The program is designed with specific expectations, and while staff are available for guidance, residents are required to engage actively, adhere to rules, and strive towards their personal objectives. The facility can accommodate up to 14 residents simultaneously, with the ultimate aim of helping them transition to stable housing, gainful employment, and independent living. Available languages include Spanish and English.
