Southern Tier Independence Center

The initiative is dedicated to improving services and support for students with disabilities, spanning from early childhood to post-school opportunities. Known as the OSE Educational Partnership, it seeks to bolster district capabilities through a comprehensive team-based method of technical assistance and professional development, ensuring consistent implementation throughout New York State. The Southeast and Southwest Family and Community Engagement Centers offer support by fostering partnerships with schools, communities, and families, providing information and training to enhance outcomes for all students, encouraging family involvement in the educational process, and organizing regional learning opportunities, targeted skill groups, and intensive collaborations for families, schools, and the community.
