The heating equipment repair or replacement program aids low-income homeowners in fixing or replacing their furnaces, with applications accepted year-round. The heating equipment tune-up service offers inspections and cleanings before the heating season, also available year-round. Additionally, cooling assistance is provided to HEAP-eligible households, particularly those with members suffering from heat-related medical conditions, with applications starting on April 15, 2024.

Intake Procedure: For regular benefits, individuals can call, visit the website, or mail in their applications. Households receiving SNAP should contact their worker for help, while temporary assistance households must reach out to their assigned worker. Other households can call the appointment line for information. Emergency benefits require applications to be submitted over the phone or in person, and applicants must have already received a regular HEAP benefit.
