Town Of Ghent

The Town Clerk is responsible for issuing marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, dog licenses, as well as hunting and fishing licenses. They provide a broad array of licensing, record-keeping, and informational services to the residents of the town. This includes the issuance of marriage licenses, hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses, along with dog licenses. Additionally, they handle requests for birth and death certificates and manage property tax collection for Town of Ghent residents from January to May 31st. After this date, all related paperwork is forwarded to the Columbia County Treasurer's Office.
