Child Development Council

Updates will be shared at www.childdevelopmentcouncil.org. The initiative assists parents, child care providers, and employers in fulfilling child care requirements for Cortland's children through accessible, affordable, and readily available care. It maintains a database of child care providers in the Cortland area. Parents can request referrals via fax, email, an online form, phone, or the website. Upon request, they receive a referral packet that includes guidance on how to interview and choose a quality program. Additionally, training is offered in various formats to help regulated child care providers complete the required 30 hours of training every two years. The program also provides an Emergency Child Care Scholarship to help with short-term child care costs.

Intake Procedure: Referrals can be made by agencies or individuals.
