Cortland Housing Authority

The program oversees 380 units of federally-subsidized public housing within Cortland County. Accommodations for seniors and individuals with disabilities are situated in the City of Cortland, as well as the Villages of Homer, McGraw, and Marathon, and the Towns of Cincinnatus and Truxton. Family housing is available in the City of Cortland, the Villages of Homer and McGraw, and the Towns of Cincinnatus and Truxton. Additionally, the Authority provides 306 Housing Choice vouchers (Section 8) for residents of Cortland County to assist them in renting private apartments. With these vouchers, tenants are responsible for a maximum of 40% of their income towards rent and utilities, while the remainder is funded by a federal subsidy.
