Racker Centers delivers Early Childhood services within inclusive classrooms located in Tompkins, Tioga, and Cortland Counties. The Preschool Special Education services are offered in collaboration with daycare, head-start, or preschool programs to foster integrated environments. Children with special needs can access services through Early Intervention until age 3 and Preschool Special Education programs until age 5. Each classroom team includes social workers who participate in weekly meetings to discuss individual, family, and classroom issues. Families are encouraged to actively engage in the ongoing support of their child. The social work team serves as a reliable resource for families seeking information on diagnoses, evaluations, behavioral strategies, equipment, medical assistance, special education, and more.
