A new transportation initiative will commence on March 1, 2025, offering complimentary rides to veterans who require dependable transportation for crucial services. Each veteran can receive two free rides per month within Dutchess County for medical appointments, including visits to VA hospitals and local healthcare providers. Additionally, veterans are entitled to one free ride per month to a grocery store, pharmacy, or for personal visits, which aids in preserving their independence and enhancing their quality of life.
