PUBLIC HOUSING includes 27 developments located throughout the city. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are added to a site-specific waiting list when they apply. Once their turn on the waiting list arrives, they are presented with unit options in their selected development. To qualify, applicants must adhere to low income thresholds based on family size. Factors influencing placement include the application date, priority, preferences, and a wide income range. Waiting lists may be closed if the number of applications surpasses available units. SECTION 8 provides vouchers to eligible applicants for renting Section 8 approved apartments in the area, with eligibility differing based on specific waiting lists. ##REENTRY##
