The program delivers practical, conversational English language instruction at convenient times and locations, such as the Hope Refugee Drop-In Center and local libraries. Small learning groups are also facilitated in students' homes, with two volunteers co-teaching. Classes occur several times a week and address various conversational English 'life skills' topics as identified by the students. Additionally, citizenship and literacy classes are available for individuals who struggle with reading and writing in their native language or in English.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call or email. Referrals must include the individual's name, contact information, availability, language, and estimated English proficiency.
Fees: No cost.

- The majority of classes are designed for beginner-level English language learners with limited educational backgrounds or first language literacy, particularly those encountering obstacles to accessing English instruction, such as physical disabilities, caregiving responsibilities, or age-related challenges.
