This initiative provides after-school academic support specifically designed for middle-school students from refugee backgrounds. It includes individualized homework assistance and tutoring in reading and math, as well as a range of educational and recreational activities, field trips, and chances to connect with peers. The program features a project-based learning approach that fosters a structured environment, promoting positive social behaviors. Book clubs cater to each student's reading level to enhance their enjoyment and proficiency in reading. Additionally, a summer program lasting six weeks is available.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call or email; referrals must include the student's name and grade, caregiver's name, contact details, ethnicity, and language.
Fees: There are no charges for participation.
