Harlem Road Youth Center - Town Of Amherst Youth & Recreation

A wide range of programs is available, including licensed after school and recess camps, tennis for adults and youth, swimming lessons, water aerobics, lap swimming, gym activities for after school, toddler programs, badminton, adult floor hockey, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, youth basketball lessons, and open basketball. There are also mobile playground services and concerts in parks, along with numerous special events throughout the year. For adults with disabilities, offerings include social programs, crafts, and Special Olympics training in sports like basketball, track, and swimming. Youth with disabilities can also participate in social programs and Special Olympics training during the summer. Support services are available for dropouts, early school intervention, and first offenders. Programs are hosted at four community centers/sites, aiming to connect community resources, support disadvantaged youth, and combat drug abuse. The YES program focuses on employment opportunities for teens and young adults. Resident ID cards are issued annually. Additional locations include Harlem Road Youth Center, Williamsville Youth Center, Amherst Youth & Family Center, School Intervention Service, Clearfield Youth Center, and Safe Homes, each with specific contact numbers for inquiries.
