This organization assists survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence who are 16 years and older, as well as their dependent children. Those who feel unsafe in their relationships can reach out through a confidential hotline, staffed by trained and compassionate individuals available 24/7 to offer information and support. The services offered include a confidential domestic violence shelter, supportive counseling, legal advocacy, help with obtaining protection orders, safety planning, parenting support after violence, educational and support groups, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing options. They also offer six-week classes titled "Domestic Violence Education and Parenting After Violence," which utilize a trauma-informed care approach in a group format to address parenting challenges and issues related to custody, separation/divorce, co-parenting, parallel parenting, and foster care placements. Additionally, community training sessions are provided to educate Western New Yorkers on recognizing signs of domestic violence and understanding various forms of abuse.
