Ssvf - Supportive Services For Veteran Families At Vosc

This initiative is aimed at rapidly re-housing families and preventing homelessness, specifically targeting those in crisis. It provides short-term, tailored financial support to help Veteran households secure and sustain permanent housing. The financial aid is structured to enable Veterans to keep their homes while they work on increasing their income, moving to more affordable housing, obtaining longer-term subsidies, or lowering their expenses to maintain housing. Each veteran household will collaborate with a case navigator and Housing Specialist to access services including: assistance with housing searches, temporary financial support for rent and arrears, help with general housing challenges, referrals to employment coordinators and credit counseling, access to VA benefits, and assistance with other public benefits, along with coordination of community resources. ##Veteran##

Intake Procedure: Once eligibility is confirmed, veteran households will engage with a case navigator and Housing Specialist to facilitate access to the services mentioned above.
