Hearts & Hands - Faith In Action, Inc.

Hearts and Hands is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization that offers complimentary escorted transportation, companionship, and in-home assistance for elderly individuals in Erie and Eastern Niagara Counties. Our clients typically include those who have ceased driving due to age-related health issues or financial constraints. They may also require help with light yard work, home maintenance, or simply companionship to uplift their spirits. Many of our senior neighbors experience loneliness and isolation, necessitating friendly social interaction. In response to findings from both a local and a national AARP assessment, Hearts and Hands has structured its program to combat social isolation through transportation, household assistance, and companionship services. For some care recipients, our volunteers may be the only visitors they have during the week, making their presence a significant positive influence in daily life. Hearts and Hands operates on a best-efforts basis, with services provided by volunteers who contribute their time as available. Program Eligibility includes older adults aged 60 and above and adults with disabilities. Our service area encompasses Erie County and Eastern Niagara County.
