This state-mandated service is available in every county and focuses on helping vulnerable adults remain in their communities or in the least restrictive environments. The process includes intake, investigation, and assessment of reports concerning abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of eligible adults. APS workers collaborate with clients to create service plans that address issues such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, or unmet essential needs.
